Elle is a two-time graduate of the Edward J. Meeman School of Journalism at the University of Memphis. She previously served as Coordinator of the Teen Appeal, the Scripps Howard city-wide high school newspaper program, which was also based at the University of Memphis. Elle has worked a daily newspaper reporter in Paducah, Ky., and as a freelance writer and photographer in Memphis. She has contributed to The Memphis Flyer, High Ground News, StyleBlueprint Memphis, I Love Memphis Blog, At Home Tennessee, the Number art journal, CLICK magazine, Thrillist Memphis, and the essay for the ArtsMemphis 2016 ArtsAccelerator catalog. Elle has guest lectured on journalism and communications at the undergraduate and graduate levels at the University of Memphis and LeMoyne-Owen College, and has served on panels for the American Marketing Association, the Memphis Slim House, and the University of Memphis (for Women’s History Month). Elle is a member of GiVE365, Young Women Philanthropists, and is on the board of Just City.
In 2013 Elle was selected as one of The Memphis Flyer’s Top 20 Under 30.
